Can I transfer my upgrade license?

I had a laptop that had Vista home preium. I upgraded to vista Ultimate thru
anytime upgrade. That laptop Is no longer in Use. I got another laptop Which
has
Visa Home Basic.The Question Is "Can I transfer My ditgal License To the
laptop I have now and upgrade to vista ultimate ? Thanks

Yes, you can transfer the Anytime Upgrade Vista license.
After upgrading, you can perform the following technique
if are are unable to activate Vista via the internet:

You can reset your Windows Vista activation by performing the following:

1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 4

2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

3. Select your Country.

4. Follow the instructions for phone activation (no charge).

5. Once completed, restart your computer.

It won't let me use the upgrade link for some reason its disabled, it will
only let me do a full install, don't known what to do now.it would't except
the product key,because the orignal upgrade was from preium to uitimate, and
one i'am transfering to is from basic to ultimate. any idiea's on what i can
do ?
