Can U download updates to disk/CD?

Does anyone know how I can download Windows updates to a disk or CD so I can
take and install them on my infected machine which won't let me set up my DSL
connection because of virus/worms it appears to have? I reinstalled Windows
and Office today but not the updates because didn't have internet access.
Encountered the errors when I was installing the DSL.

SP2 WON'T get rid of any malware already on your system.
Best advice is to eradicate it first, clean your system
up and then install SP2 (well, I haven't been able to get
it work either but that's another problem). Run anti-
virus and then download and run spybot and adaware.
Those may get rid or your malware.

Depending on your OS, there are a couple of ways. In
Win2k, when I went to the Windows Update page, there used
to be a selection on the left of the screen for "Windows
Catalog" that allowed me to download all updates of all
OS's. In XP that appears to be gone and when I click on
the "catalog" tab it appears to be a different thing.

My best guess would be to download service pack 2 for XP,
that has it all. For other OS's, try the update site with
that OS and see if there is a way for you to get to the
Windows Catalog.

Of course you can download each update by searching for it
and downloading it from the "Download Center" but you may
have to go the PC, go to the Update page to see what it
needs and then go to your fast connection to get the
downloads.

Problem is I can't get on the internet because of the problem and don't have
updated virus. Trying to get system clean and protected before setting up
DSL, but can't download Antivirus, or patches w/o internet access...don't
know where to start. I thought reinstalling Windows XP again would give me a
fresh start, but it got infected right away.

I downloaded Stinger, but last time it didn't pick up all my worms.
Any ideas on where to start?
