Can I uninstall Vista SP1?

I recently bought a Dell XPS laptop. This morning I installed Vista SP1
update, got 6 blue screens in a row. Finally figured out that Eudora 7.1
triggers blue screen when it tries to check mail. I depend on Eudora, need
to roll back out of SP1 until I can get a workaround.

Any way I can undo SP1 short of reinstalling Vista?

Thanks,
MC

Hi MC,

You can see how to uninstall the Vista SP1 here.

If this doesn't work for you, then you can also do a System Restore to
a date before you installed the SP1, or the dreaded reinstall.

Go make coffee, it will take awhile

I tried un-installing the service pack too and you are right, it takes
awhile. When it is done the desktop tells me I have an "evaluation"
version, wonderful. I hope that it will ask me for my key at some
time and not force me to re-install Vista.

MC,

Reboot again and see if that doesn't remove the "Evaluation Copy" from
your desktop.

A correction, after I restarted a second time the "evaluation" note on
the desktop disappeared.
