Can Update start another process before rebooting

Is there a way to have Windows Update start another process before rebooting.
Such as, kicking off a script to shutdown a DB gracefully.

Only if you script the download and install part yourself as well.

Rob Dunn have created a nice VBScript that can do both detecting and
"install now" on a client that is connected to a WSUS server, the same
is possible against Windows Update/Automatic Updates:
