Can I Use Briefcase over a Network?

Hello--

We have a use that heard about using briefcases and now he wants one between
his workstation running Windows XP Pro and a file server running Server 2003.

I've been doing some testing and I get the "...need to update your briefcase
software..." message--so first I'm not sure it will work between platforms.

Second, I have no idea how to setup the briefcase on the users's workstation
to sync with the briefcase on the server. All of the how to's on the web
discuss syncing between a computer and portable (laptop). Any help is
appreciated.
