Can Vista been reinstalled to correct blue screens

I saw a few we-site with info about reinstalling, but I never accomplished
this.

When I insert mu DVD of vista, gave no product key in, I get only the option
clean install.
I use know aVista RTM SP2 disk.
How can I reinstall Vista and keep ALL data (docs and progrmas).

To reinstall Windows Vista without losing all the settings and program
installs you need to go the "Upgrade" route. This requires you to boot
into Windows and run setup. It may require you to reboot and rerun setup to
proceed with the upgrade install.

Hi,

You won't get the "in place upgrade" option when you don't use a product key
(why wouldn't you want to?). That is the option you need to preserve the
existing installation. Your options are to either provide the key during
setup, or to create a clean install. If you create a clean install without
formatting and sufficient space is available, then the old installation will
be moved to a windows.old folder on the root of the drive where your can
later recover data. Programs would need to be reinstalled from their
original installation media.

Reinstalling will likely not correct your blue screen problems, particularly
if the problem is faulty hardware or a driver issue (the most common cause
of blue screens).
