Can the WU downloads be deleted after successful install?

The new version of WU on W2K Pro, at least, creates a new directory in the
Winnt folder called Software Distribution. There's a directory in there
called Download that appears to hold downloaded updates even after successful
installs. Previous versions of WU didn't do that. Can that directory be
emptied? I assume yes, but I want to be sure before I try.

I've got 150MB in that folder that is desparately needed as free space.
This OS partition doesn't have all that much free space.

Thanks!

Icebox,
Yes, you can delete the files in folder \SoftwareDistribution\Download

Hi,

Yes, you can safely delete the content in the Download folder after
all updates are installed.

If you don't delete the files yourself, they should disappear
automatically after 10 days.

Yes, that file may be safely deleted, as well as others:
