Can you do an upgrade from Beta 2 to RC1?

RC1 releases soon, so can you just upgrade from Beta 2 to RC1, or do you have
to do a clean install?

It is never a good idea to upgrade from one beta version
to another beta version....a "clean install" is best.

Are you referring to Windows Vista or some other product?

Assuming Vista, probably not.
Since there is potential for old Beta cold left behind and causing trouble,
Microsoft normally deliberately prevents Beta to Beta upgrades.
The recent builds have allowed for an upgrade from Windows XO which will be
a supported upgrade in the final product.
Clean Installation is the way to go.
