I don't know why they are gone but this web site shows you how to
customize the send to menu.'Customize the Windows Vista Send To Menu ::
the How-To Geek' (http://tinyurl.com/yqowg9)

Yeah, I'd found that one too. Haven't tried it yet since I'm not quite
certain what to put in to make sure that it sends a link to the desktop,
not the actual file, and that send to email recipient sends it as an
attachment on an outlook message.

I was poking around my laptop, which also runs Vista 64, and when I
look in the "Send to" folder (in C:\users\me\etc.), Properties for the
Mail Recipient command says it's a file called "Mail Service
(.MAPIMail); properties for the Desktop Shortcut (create shortcut) says
it's a file called "Desktop Shortcut (.DeskLink). So it seems that
there's something special about these two Send To commands, which may
also be related to why these disappeared while none of the other ones
did. It also makes me think that I would not be well served by simply
dragging a shortcut icon of the desktop and Outlook into the Send To
folder.

Thoughts and solutions very much welcome.

Thanks.

Peter
