If you select all the files in the directory with Ctrl-A and rename one
that rename will propagate to all the files; so if you called your
chosen file 'My_File', the others would become, say 'My_File(2)',
My_File(3) etc. It isn't the most elegant renaming solution in the world
but it works. Kind of.

Search Command Prompt Help for the <ren> command.

Try at a cmd-prompt:

ren *.loaded *.

You can write a batch file with DOS ren command.

Try this from a command prompt, without the brackets.

REN [drive:][path]*.loaded *.[new extension name]

I use flash rename. I believe there is also a free renamer that you
can find to perform the task you need.

Hi,
I didn't see the original message, but could add that I've used Ant Renamer
at http://www.antp.be/software/renamer with some success in the past.

I use Flexible Renamer. I really like it, and I beleive it's still
free.
