Okay, my question is whether or not this looks normal or not. I'm trying to
see if Automatic Updates works. I am aware that Microsoft has slowly been
releasing SP2, but it's been almost three weeks since it was released with
the home edition and I'm starting to become concerned, especially with all
the errors I see in the log. I should probably point out that I am on dialup
and that I can access Windows Update just fine (though I haven't tried to
download anything yet), so I doubt the errors are related to WU. Also, I have
AU set to "download, then prompt me when ready to install." I have
occasionally seen the process for AU running in Task Manager, though it only
shows up for a couple of minutes, but I've never seen the icon pop up like it
used to do with v4.
Thank you for any help.
P.S. I don't necessarily want SP2, so please don't inform me of other ways
to get it. I know about those. I just want to know if Automatic Updates work
with the new version.
