Can You Updae to a Flashdrive?

I have a basic question about updating XP. My home connection is a dial-up
and can be very slow. If the updates are very large, they take WAY too long
and sometimes don't download at all. I have a fast connection at work and
my boss doesn't mind if I use the connection after hours to download to my
flashdrive.

Can I do that and then install from the flashdrive to my home computer?
How? Do you just "open" them and they run automatically, or do I have to do
something else. I'm a moderately novice user! Thank you.

Yes, updates off your flashdrive should install normally. If you still feel
a bit uncertain, copy/move the update files off your flashdrive to your
harddrive, and install from there.
