i've installed 3 updates from MS site recently. These are:

Windows XP Windows Media Player 11
Windows XP Realtek Semiconductor Corp - Sound - Realtek High Definition
Audio
Windows XP Update for Windows XP (KB896344)

Unfortunattly i have no sound at all after installing them. i dont know what
to do. i tried to change drivers, download otthers, etc but it didnt help. i
still have no sound. it's probably about this Realtek update. Is there any
way to uninstall these udates? what else can i do? . Please help me! Thanx

Updates that can be removed are listed in Control Panel/Add and Remove.
The other option if you have a good restore point - is system restore.
As you've already mucked around with the sound drivers, perhaps a system restore.

You can only get the proper drivers from the manufacturer's site - did you try roll
back driver in the device settings?

Do you have a CD with the original drivers on it that you can install otherwise go to
the manufacturer's site and obtain the latest drivers.

Unless I missed something somewhere, you can still try a System Restore, you
should not need a CD.
But try getting the sound drivers first.

System Restore:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore
Select a Date/Time before problem started.

In the future do not update Windows XP drivers from Windows Update.
Instead go directly to the hardware manufacturer for updated drivers.

Never install drivers through Windows Update for hardware other than MS
specific hardware (mouse, keyboard etc)

Roll-back the driver to the previous version, in the hardware device manager
(click the sound card or whatever device it was updating).
