When I access the automatic updates, my computer will not show a list of
updates. It shows" shearching for current version of automatic updates"
I run XP home addition on a HP Palillion computer. What can I do to get the
update lists.

David,

Go to Start>Run and key in:
regsvr32 Mssip32.dll
Click on OK or hit ENTER
Click on OK in the Regsvr32 dialogue box

Go to Start>Run and key in:
regsvr32 Initpki.dll
Click on OK or hit ENTER
Click on OK in the Regsvr32 dialogue box

Normally, the instructions to resolve the 0x800B0001 error also include
regsvr32 softpub.dll, but, since you've already performed the registration
for that dll file, I left it out of the instructions in this post.
