When trying to access the cbs.log file after running the sfc/scannow command
in command prompt, I am not able to access the cbs.log file. Found the file
in Windows Explorer and an error box comes up when trying to open the file
(which tries to open through Notepad) that says "Access is denied". After
I ran the scan, it says I have some files that are corrupt that Windows
cannot repair, and would like to find out which one are corrupt to try to
fix. I understand that it is probably a program not related to Windows that
is in need of the repair. I just need to find out which program is creating
the problem to re-install and repair the corrupt files. Thanks for any help.

Use the "Ratings" feature. It helps the new users.

This ****es me off. We scour the communities asking for help and we ge
you're not posting in the right place. I found out by myself that t
access the forbidden cbs log you can copy it and paste it onto th
desktop, then you can open it. Not that it helps much. Is anyone else a
fed up as me with reinstalling vista after problems you just can'
resolve? This will be the third time coming up
