CANNOT ACCESS LIVE MESSENGER

Everytime I startup computer I get message "Windows Live Messenger has
encountered problem and needs to close...."

Can you help resolve this?

I assume this is on Windows XP? If so, in the error that apologizes for the inconvenience of
Messenger shutting down, click the "click here" link - in the next screen, you'll see
something like the
following: szAppName : msnmsgr.exe szAppVer : 8.1.0168 szModName : rpcrt4.dll

If you could reply back with what the szModName has in your error, it could point to
something specific.

Everytime I try signing in to Windows Live Messenger it brings up message that
"unable to sign me in at this time ..let us try and trouble-shoot the
problem..click on the Troubleshoot button"; still I get no resolve

I also am experiencing problems when i enter my password. i can access
hotmail but with Windows Messenger Live the message "are unable to sign you
in let us troubleshoot " message is prompted; can u help me? thanks
