Hello,

I am trying to figure out how to get the auto updates. I try to open the
update page
(http://update.microsoft.com/windowsu....aspx?ln=en-us), click
either "Express" or "Upgrade to Microsoft Update...", click "Start Now",
click "Continue", and then it says that the page cannot load. I have been
through the FAQ and traoubleshooting, and nothing works.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Are you receiving "0x80244022" error?
If so, try WU at a later time, perhaps tomorrow. There were problems with the servers
and possibly intermittent problems remain with everyone trying to update at the same
time.

I am also receiving this same error message without any CODE from teh last 3
days ....

The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
trying to view.

No help is working for me and it is quite frustrating.

Assist Please.

Close IE and clear out your temporary internet files.

Rename the SoftwareDistribution folder

Click Start, Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Stop.
Stopping the service will take a moment.

Rename the "SoftwareDistribution" folder: a. Click Start, click Run, type
%systemroot%, and then click OK.
b. Right-click the SoftwareDistribution folder, and then click Rename.
c. Type SoftwareDistribution.old, and then press ENTER to rename this folder.

Click Start. Choose Run.
In the Run box, type services.msc.
Click OK.
Right-click the Automatic Updates service.
Click Start.
Starting the service will take a moment.

You'll lose your history but not important.

From a fresh IE windows try WU again.
