Cannot access windows update catalog

Hi,

I wish to back up the updates that I have downloaded so that I do not have
to re-download the updates if I ever have to reinstall windows.

I seem to be unable to get on to the update catalog web site:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...en/default.asp
I get the following message "Administrators Only


To install items from Windows Update, you must be logged on as an
administrator or a member of the Administrators group. If your computer is
connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from
completing this procedure."

I have tried all 6 methods described in:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316524/
And none of them seem to help.

I was able to get onto this site before I installed SP2 but not after.

I was forced to use the automatic installer, is there a way to backup these
files for reuse? Can I backup the folders under
C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download and copy the folders back there
after a reinstall?

Any assistance will be appreciated.
