I have tried just about everything to get my WMP to burn music cd's. It just
won't do it anymore. I have reduced the recording speed, made sure it is
programmed for audio (not data) recording. I made sure, through Dell, that
my CD/DVD does work. It will play CD's and DVD's. But won't burn CD's.
What has happened with my once reliable WMP program? By the way, I have
Roxio that came with the computer and it really is a pain. I t doesn't even
have 30% of the total music I have downloaded on my computer. Anyway, any
help would be appreciated!

There will be a specific error messsage?
The only clue in your post is that it maybe a burner issue
as you state it won't burn but plays.
The most common reason is that you are using a brand of
blank discs that the burner won't recognise, if it is simply
a case of blank discs that are not being recognised you
would get a prompt to insert a disc, or the drive in explorer
would not show a disc loaded when one is, but you have not
supplied any info on what the error is, if any?

Until you supply more details it is not possible to guide you.
If it is a simple issue of blank discs not being recognised
by the drive, that is easily fixed with a firmware update.

How to post and what should be included:
Supply details of Operating System and PC -
What version of windows and if laptop or desktop, internal or
external burner.
Details of the problem:
The actual error message is all important!
You are trying to do what with WMP? -
Burn WAV or CD-DA from a HDD folder to CD?
Burn another format such as MP3 to Audio CD format?
Copy a CD from one drive to another?
What is the error - is the loaded disc not recognised, are burning
options in WMP no longer available, are you using a brand of
blank discs that worked previously, or is it a new brand you are
having problems with?
Is there a direct correlation with the problem first occuring and:
Software installation or uninstalling/Service packs/updates/ etc.
