All,
My problem seems to be fixed!
What has been done:
-I removed manually the latest updates (via the control panel)
-Since I still selected the Windows updates to be installed automatically,
it installed the same updates again, and automatically rebooted the system
--> Afterwards I can connect to the internet via my router without any
problem. (even after switching the PC OFF/ON again)
Hopefully this is also helpfull for other people.
