Cannot copy and paste font

Hi --

I just discovered that I am unable to copy and paste a font. The computer
that has the font runs Vista 64 bit. Have tried right-clicking and the
Organize function. When I try, the Copy function is present but when I
attempt to paste to another location on the same computer so that I can
eventually email the font as an attachment, the Paste function is grayed
out.

Tried it on a friend's computer and her situation is the same. Her computer
is also Vista 64 bit.

On my computer, I am the Administrator and sole user.

What is the trick, please?

Please explain more fully ; a font is a single letter .

I was using the definition provided here:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/font which says:

"A COMPLETE SET OF TYPE of one size and face."

Which font are you trying to copy and paste to send via an email. It may be
a restricted font that Vista 64 prevents you from copying.

Try this however. Windows Explorer, Create a folder where you want to copy
the font to. Go to your system drive, Windows, Fonts folder and Right click
on the Fonts folder name and then left click Copy. Go to the destination
folder and then press and hold Ctrl key and then tap the V key. This should
create a fonts folder within the folder you created and copy all the fonts
in the fonts folder. You can then use that folder to email the font out.
Of course this also copies all the other fonts (which is not a bad idea to
keep a backup copy of fonts in case one becomes corrupted.)

This just worked for me on my Vista 32 bit system but should also work on
your 64 bit system.

I appreciate the suggestion but did not really want to copy the entire fonts
folder as it was just too big to keep as an extra.

I found an easier method that worked for me, at least in this instance.

Unlike XP, Vista allowed me to just email the .ttf file to myself as an
attachment without any copying and pasting first.
