Cannot Create System Restore Point (0x80042318)

I get this error when trying to create a system restore point. Any help would
be appreciated:

The Restore Point Cannot be created for the following reasons:

An error was detected in the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). The problem
occurred while trying to contact the VSS writers. Please verify that the Even
System Service and the VSS service are runing and check for associated errors
in the even logs. (0x80042318).

Please try again.

A couple suggestions for you to try:

Disable any antivirus software or "defender" products.
Try running Chkdsk (disk checking utility) on the volume where the restore
point will be created.

I created my system restore point successfully without error wit
solutions given in
http://forums.techarena.in/operating...ms/1127680.htm. You should tr
this. It will work fine
