Cannot delete folders

I'm running Ultra. Even though I'm an Administrator and I un-tick the
"Read Only" box, I cannot delete folders. When I go back to
Properties, the "Read Only" box is ticked again. Even when "Read
Only" isn't ticked, I get a message that I do not have permission.
What's up?

XdN Tweaker has an option to add "Take Ownership" to right click menus. It
may allow you to be able to delete folders/files that you normally would not
have permission to delete.

In addition to what others have posted, the problem is often not the folder
but the items within the folder or various sub-folders. Sometimes, you
first need to delete the items within a folder before you can delete the
folder.

Hi Scribner,

You will need to take ownership of the folder first, then you will be
able to modify or delete it. This tutorial will show you how to do it
with screenshots.

Actually, it has happened that I was able to delete the contents of
the folder while unable to delete the folder. Very strange.

Thanks for the suggestion. Whoever invented that little program
deserves a medal.

Thanks. But I am the Administrator. I seem to have full permissions,
which is why I cannot explain the problem.
