Cannot display Png format file

Dear all,

I use Window Vista and IE7. Recently, I discover that I cannot view png
format file under IE7. Someone suggested a solution to update
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.png] by merging the file below.


Part of the content of the file :

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

;PNG file association fix for Windows Vista
;Created on May 17, 2007 by Ramesh Srinivasan

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.png]
@="pngfile"
"Content Type"="image/png"
"PerceivedType"="image"

......


However, I cannot merge the file as some data in the original file are being
used by the system.

Anyone can help me to solve the problem which I cannot view the png format
image under IE7.

The 'in use' error is probably some registry 'permissions' error
