cannot download certain webpages but with Firefox can

On my Vista desktop with IE7 and now IE8 I cannot download certain pages.
For example on this page http://www.adctheatre.com/ when I click on
Continue nothing happens. On the same page PC Mozila Firefox downloads the
linked (Continue) page OK. Also, on my XP laptop with IE7 the next page when
pressing Continue downloads OK.
When I was on HMRC pages with this configuration, some pdf pages would not
download.

Any ideas why that should be?

Strange but I've been having the same problem with several websites.

On the one above, I was able to open the site but there are many that
I have to use Firefox to open.

I have Vista Ultimate 64x and IE 7.. I can't use IE8 because Wells
Fargo is not accepting that new version yet. ???

I've also noticed lately that I have to wait several seconds for IE7 to
open .. When that happens, I click on Firefox and it opens immediately.

It is strange and it is only IE7 (and IE8) with Vista PC, not XP
