Sorry about the double post, but whoever replied to my question, just copied
my post, and there was no answer.
When I go to Windows Update It downloads these two components
Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1
Update for Windows XP (KB898461)
Then it displays
You have successfully updated your computer
The software upgrade is complete
When I restart the computer I always have to go to the services list and
start up Automatic Updates, BITS, and Event Log.
Then it downloads the Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 and the Update for
Windows XP (KB898461) again. It keeps doing this again and again.
