Cannot download Windows Genuine Advantage Notification

When I try to download the Windows Genuine Advantage Notification (KB905474),
I keep getting a messae the download failed. Why do I keep getting this
message? I have tried to download this several times, and I have restarted
the computer and even turned it off and on again, but I still keep getting
this error message.

I found this on another thread and installed it....

It solved my problem.

So who has the answer to this??.Seems like a lot of folks are having the same
prob.

I also had same problem with the Genuine Advantage Notification download. I
found your information and the download from another post also. I downloaded
from your post and my problem is also solved. thanks

your kidding me. you saying you have to put all that address in. I like to
go to one place normaly & download not all around the houses as it seems to
be a habit of mircosoft. I do belive the problam is with mircosoft downloads
as I have an Ip locator. when m/s downloads to me I am not getting an Ip
address which means they are not downloading to you. infact I have not had a
download since late 05. just to put the record stright. everything is set for
download inclulding the shiled that appears on task bar reading 0%
downloading so who is at fauilt you mite wonder. well that bit is oddveous

This link worked for me too. I had a similar problem with a Windows Media
Player update. Once I looked a little closer at the download details I
relized that both had a file size of 0 kb. I wonder why Microsoft would
direct me to download a critical update that contains nothing? Maybe someone
at Microsoft has a weird sense of humour. I wonder if Bill and Melinda are
sending empty food boxes to Africa?
