cannot explore mobile device ?

re: cingular 8125 - activesync 4.1.0

activesync has installed without issue, and sync completes without issue

however, clicking on the explor ebutton in activesync results in an enpty
explorer window pane popping up

trying to access the mobile device folder in windows explorer results in the
same blank window pane

any suggestions ?

Hi,
Do you have a software firewall installed on the PC? Did you allow
ActiveSync access to TCP/IP? See

i do have NIS, however, personal firewall is turned off.

no other firewall software is installed.

any other issues i should explore ?

one more piece of information i should share.

once the empty explore (mobile device) window closes on the desktop, after a
shirt haning period, the connection between the PC and the mobile device is
lost.
