Hi
I have a bunch of PC running behind an ISA2K SP2 with enabled firewall
clients - not using the ISA as proxy. Windows Update works ONLY if I
completely uninstall the Firewall Client and use the ISA as proxy on port
8080.
Why does my Firewall Clients block the transmission of events to Microsoft
as illustrated in the log below???
I have a feeling that the problem lies on the local PCs and not the ISA
server, because every onece in while WU update works after proxycfg -d ...you
know the drill..... But that is not a stable situation.. after reboot WU does
not work again.
People in the newsgroup keep telling me that it is my proxy - but IE is NOT
SET TO USE A PROXY SERVER - it uses the firewall client towards the ISA
server.
The Firewall Client has been reinstalled after the ISA SP2 update -
everything works apart from windows update.
Please give me some advice!!
