Cannot get logged on to Windows

When I enter my password in the Windows log in box I get the message Welcome
then "user profile cannot be loaded". This occurred this morning after I
shut down . Now I cannot get into Windows at all. Any suggestions ?

Create a new account and copy over your existing files and settings, looks
like the account you are trying log into is corrupted. You might have take
ownership of the folders before you can copy over your settings.
