Cannot get Windows Defender Updates

I downloaded Enterprise 2007 and since then I cannot get Defender updates.
The error code is : 0x80070643.
I am not connected to any network or company system. I am just using a
personnal computer.
I've read all the the topics on the help page, but nothing will correct the
problem.
Please help, Thank You.

I have the same error message caused by trying to download the latest
definition update for defender. I believe this is a windows update problem
since it has happened before and been rectified. Any comments Microsoft?

There was an issue with the anti-malware signature package affecting
versions 1.35.714.0 through 1.35.739.0. A specific signature containing
invalid characters made it into the packages and is causing update failures
for all products running on down-level operating system such as Windows XP.
We’ve verified that Server 2003, Server 2008, and Windows Vista do not
experience this issue.



We are currently fast tracking a fix through our signature certification
system with an estimated release time of 6:00pm today (6/24/2008) with
version greater than or equal to 1.35.740.0.

Down level? Is Windows XP not still fully supported?
