I have Vista Home Premium w/ SP1, WMP 11.0.6001.7004. I cannoy play avi files
in MP. I downloaded xvid 1-2-1.04122008 exe, 1-2-1.vaq.0412208. exe &
xvid1-2-2.07062009.exe. When I go to install any of them I get an error
message saying C:\Windows|System32 xvid.ax delete file failed code 5 access
is denied. Anyone able to help me get these codecs info WMP?

What other codecs/codec packs do you have installed? If you shut down all
other applications and stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing
Service, can you then delete that file manually... ?
