Why can't we ind the answer to this question on the Windows help????
Help seems to be written by a mentally handicapped, worse with each new
version. The search is the worst and most useless we can find in any program
and all over the Web. An example is precisely this "hide updates". If we type
the words on the help search field we gaet all sorts of answers, not the
least related to the question li:
What is a hidden file?
Show or hide icons in the taskbar
Show hidden files
Customizing the desktop: recommended links
What are the risks of connecting to a hidden network?
Show or hide common icons on the desktop
Show or hide the Favorites bar in Internet Explorer 8
Show the menus in folders
Delete webpage history
What is the Welcome screen?
Start Narrator minimized
Change the way Windows Mail looks
Navigation pane (definition)
Get e-mail from specific IMAP folders
TV service provider (definition)
Change Internet Explorer Advanced settings
Paging file (definition)
Windows Sidebar and gadgets (overview)
Locate the Start menu
Configuring multiple gateways on a network
Import messages into Windows Mail from Outlook Express
Communities and newsgroups in Windows Mail: frequently asked questions
Change how you display items in the Windows Media Player library
Customize Windows Calendar
Control which programs are displayed in Windows Media Center
Delete a saved game
Can I protect files or folders with a password?
Using special characters (Character Map): frequently asked questions
Windows Movie Maker collections: frequently asked questions
Keep Windows Media Center on top of other windows
The desktop (overview)
Fdisk: frequently asked questions
Customize Windows Sidebar
File names and file name extensions: frequently asked questions
What is the Quick Launch toolbar?
Add or edit media information in Windows Media Player
Change bass, stereo, and other audio effects in Windows Media Player
And many others like those above. Nobody needs this sort of help. Is there
anyone not thinking yjis is pure rubish? Help on Office is exactly as this.
By making us wasting out time, Microsoft is stealing our time on useless
searches, which is the same as steling our money.
