i cannot install the 24 critical updates

every time I try to install service pack 2 I cannot install the last 24
critical updates. I have disabled my Mcafee and even unimstalled it. What do
I do now?

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
