That's very likely your problm; install the hot fixes.
IFF you needed 1.1 framework, whatever needed it won't work now. 2.0 does
not replace 1.1; they are different animals and one doesn't replace the
other. Silly sounding I know, but true. If you have no need for 2.0,
you're not going to misss it. Anything that needs 1.1 OR 2.0 will alert you
if/when it can't find it. That info may at least give you comfort while you
work out what's wrong with your system.
It's also a case of NOT having to uninstall 1.1 to install 2.0, BTW.
Same for 3.0, which isn't used a lot yet.
