Cannot Install Update for SQL Server 2005 (KB 932557)

I've tried to install the update for SQL Server 2005 at home and at work
several times. It fails in both places. At work I logged on as administrator,
and it still fails. Windows continues to prompt me to install this update,
but it absolutely will not install. Any suggestions or assistance would be
greatly appreciated!

I also had trouble installing the update. In my case I had SQL Server
installed under my account instead of the local system account. I had
changed my password and that prevented the SQL Server Service from
being able to start. After updating the password in the service
properties so that SQL Server could start, the update installed.
