Cannot install updates automatically

I cannot install updates automatically, it always failed if I download
something manually from Microsoft Update page.

For few month I install it manually searching for it in Windows/Software
Distribution folder. So, can someone help me to fix my problems with
automatic instalation.

2nd - Can I safely remove that folders (like
8b8c30d92a5a722c5d42566e03bea22d),
from my hard drive? They are a lots of it in Software distribution (I've
been installed all that stuff manually) and taking a lot of space of my,
small, notebook hard drive,

P.s. Of course, automatic updates it always turned on.
