Cannot install Win XP sp1 on Win XP Pro

I'm having problem installing Windows XP Sp 1. Some of the registries cannot
back-up. Is that fixible? If so how? Thank you

You ought to be looking at Service Pack 2, not SP1.

Do a liitle reading before getting SP2. See tips at Aumha.org on preparing for SP2.
