Cannot install WMP 11; I'm using Firefox.

I keep getting an "unable to complete installation" message. Is this because
I'm now using Firefox? Should I uninstall WMP 9/10 and then try to install 11?

In my installed programs list WMP 11 is listed, but, unlike other installed
programs, it does not specifically say that WMP11 is installed; it does,
however, say when it was last used (10/25).

I am frustrated and confused>

Can someone help?
