According to my ISp a recent update has caused problems logging in to secure
sites (thiers, for one). I called PC Safety and got someone who argued and
argued that this wasn't msft fault. I don't know if I can call there again.
I finally got nowhere and hung up!

Anyone know about this? My ISP says there is a fix for it.

Thanks as always here!
Sue

and what would that "problem" be? Is there any error message when logging on
to secure sites?

Have you tried the following:

- Clear Temporary Internet Files and Cookies
- Resetting IE Internet security zone to Medium-High or Medium
- Make sure optonline.net and optimum.net isn't listed in the IE Restricted
Sites zone

How does your problem pertain to Windows Update, Sue?

Those with IE7-specific questions or comments are asked to post to and seek

In case you missed the very beginning of this thread:

Although the info is kinda vague (she didn't mention which update), it
sounds like Sue is asking for a confirmation from other users about recent
updates that causes a problem like hers.

Because originally I was told by my ISP (optimum.net) that this
behavior resulted from an update from WU and that there was a fix for it
from MSFT>
They told me others had the same problem.
