Cannot perform windows update,

The security upate file is corrupt, how can I retrieve a new file and which
file is it?

assist you.

Please advise what operating system including service pack level you have,
any error codes you are experiencing and if relevant the name of the
security update file that is corrupt.etc.

The more information you provide, the more likely you'll get assistance
