Change the outgoing server name to mail.btinternet.com, and make
sure you have send authentication enabled: Tools, Accounts, select
that account, Properties, Servers. Check the "My server requires
authentication" box.
If no improvement (same error message), which antivirus are you
running? Some of them cause problems with Windows Mail over time.
