This is a Windows LIVE Mail-specific newsgroup. Are you accessing the
account in Windows LIVE Mail or the application named Windows Mail in Vista?
In either case, the "incoming mail" error message is telling you that you do
NOT have the correct port selected for the incoming (POP) mail server.
PS: Disable email scanning by your anti-virus application (don't uninstall
the application). While it doesn't appear to be the cause of the error you
posted, it can cause similar problems. Email scanning provides no
additional security:
