Cannot set homepage after installing IE7

Hi. After I installed IE7, I was directed to a page that would allow me to
set my homepage. After clicking on, Keep my current default homepage" and
then clicking save my settings, it says that my settings were unable to be
saved. I installed IE7 on my lap top and had no problems with it there. Any
suggestions as to what might be the problem and how to correct it?
