Vista Problem - New computer same passwords etc everything works fine but for
Messenger. It is so frustrating when you cannot sign in. I can go to the MSN
web site and sign in - no problem
There dosnt seem to be any clear advice as to what the problem is and how to
cure it.
Windows Live and Skype is fine - no problem at all with signing in, Its just
messenger

Any help would be appreciated

Hello,

a few thoughts:
* do you have a firewall?
- http://groups.google.at/group/micros...9157c92cbcfe04
* have you got a router? Start -> All programs -> Accessories -> Right-click command prompt -> Run as administrator -> netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled -> hit Enter.

That's what I found out about this error. Please try and report.

Greetings,
