cannot sign in for ages now

about a week or so ago i was suddenly unable to sign into wlm.
to my knowledge, i havn't changed anything.

i've tried my old account (which still works on my laptop - on the same
network)
i've tried creating a new account and this doesnt sign in either.

it doesnt time out, it just keeps trying and trying until i stop it

if i enter a wrong pass, it quickly tells me so.

any ideas? it's been ages since its been working now and i need it back.
