cannot sign into messenger with aol account

my messenger signin is *myname*@aol.com when I try to sign in I get the
message "we were unable to sign you into windows live messenger, possibly
because of a problem with your internet connection" error code 80072745

I have looked that up and what it says does not apply since borh my desktop
and my laptop signs into messenger with no problem... tho its a
*myname*@hotmail.com...

neither computer will sign into msn messenger or webmessenger with the
@aol.com account, both Will sign in with @hotmail.com

I have had the @aol.com messenger account for four years and this is the
first time it won't sign in... also it will sign into msn free games with
@aol...

so why am I now unable to access the msn messengers with the @aol.com account?

I'm having the exact same problem, and on the exact same day... obviously
this has nothing to do with anything on our end.

I have a user with the same problem. How do we get Jonathan Kay
Microsoft MVP to answer this post?

I just tried and problem still isnt fixed yet...I have a aol account
with messenger too and its been saying i cant log in for for the past 20
hours

my @aol.com will Still Not sign into messenger on either computer, although
my @hotmail.coms will

Actually, no. The problem still exists. I also cannot sign into any messenger
anywhere with my .net passport ID which happens to be on an AOL account and
has been since MS created .net passport. When will this be resolved?

i have not been able to sign to msn with aol acount does anyone know if
thisis going to be resolved i am able to log in with hotmail

I have an @aol login on WLM as well and haven't been able to connect on any
computer or web based since 5PM EST yesterday.
