cannot sync-Vista-Ofc Ultimate-new pc to Cing 8525

Have pocket pc, cingular 8525 that I synced with previous computer with XP,
over 7 years of files, previous computer took a lightning strike and lost all
records, only location of records is on pocket pc runing win mobil 5. Have
repeatedly rebooted computer and pocket pc, no recognization by
vista/ultimate? HELP.

If your only copy of 7 years of records are on your pocket PC, I would do
*nothing* to alter that PC until you have been able to retrieve the files. I
would NOT update the pocket PC in the hopes that you could use it with
Vista. Bad things can happen, and if they do - your files may be gone.

Can you connect it to a friends PC that has Windows XP installed and then
burn the files to a CD?
