When I go the Windows Update page I get this:

Then I click on Download and Install and I get this:

Is the system going to the V4 or V5 Windows Update site ?
Open the Windows Update.log (V4) or WindowsUpdate.log (V5) located in
the WINDOWS directory with Notepad. Then copy&paste the last 20 or so
lines into your response.

Thanks for your help. It was going to v5 but has changed to v6. Sometimes I
get one or the other. Here is the log, something is not right just cant fix
it!

Let's try this. Open Internet Options in the Control Panel. Click the
Delete Files button under Temporary Interntet Files. Put a check in the
box next to Delete all offline content. Click OK. Click the Delete
Cookies and Clear History buttons, too. Close Internet Options.

Go to Start, Run, type in
cmd
Click OK.
At the Command Prompt, type in
net stop wuauserv
Press Enter.
Leave the Command Prompt window open and using either Windows Explorer
or My Computer, navigate to the WINDOWS\system32\CatRoot2 folder.
Rename CatRoot2 to CatRoot2.old.
Close Windows Explorer.
At the Command Prompt type in
net start wuauserv
Press Enter.
Now type in
exit
Press Enter.
Restart the system and then go to the Windows Update site either via the
shortcut on the Start menu or open IE, click Tools, Windows Update.
