Cannot Uninstall Microsoft Works

I was trying to add a different version of Microsoft Works, and for some
reason whenever I try to remove this old version in favor of the new one, the
uninstaller just keeps doing the same thing, not making any progress at
all... Is there any way to get rid of the program because it isn't letting me
do anything on Microsoft Works at all.

It is sometime since I upgraded MS Work, but sure that when I upgraded to
Works 8.5, I just installed it over the top of the previous version.
Which version are you upgrading from/to?
